FULL TIME – QUAIL RUN GOLF COURSE

JOB SUMMARY: The foreman/irrigation tech works under the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent II to perform complex duties involved in golf course maintenance. Temporarily supervises co-workers during special projects and/or in the absence of the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent II. In addition, this person maintains, repairs, and rebuilds components of the golf course irrigation system.

Starting Pay: $20/hr

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Performs complex cultural tasks related to the maintenance of a golf course. These tasks include: fertilization, pesticide application and all other cultural related tasks.
• Acts as lead person in performing in-house complex projects involved on the golf course. These tasks include: construction projects, major irrigation installation and other in-house projects.
• Ensures safety procedures are observed and reports discrepancies to the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent II.
• Assists as needed in irrigation repairs and maintenance.
• Performs tasks that are necessary to keep maintenance facility and equipment clean and reports any deficiencies to the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent II.
• Fills in to perform all routine golf course functions and activities as desired by the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent II.
• Reports and recommends to the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent II any changes needed to procedures or training.
• Coaches and reinforces employee performance.

• Records pump readings.
• Services pump lubrication system.
• Monitors effectiveness of individual sprinklers.
• Troubleshoots and overhauls irrigation system components.
• Determines and maintains adequate irrigation parts supply.
• Performs daily clean up of work area.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
