GOLF SHOP WORKER

Location: Willowcreek

Job Summary: Performs the day-to-day duties and functions associated with the operation of a Golf Shop.

Work days/hours: Thursday - Sunday 5:30am-11:30am; Sun. 11:30am-5:30pm. *subject to change. Must be flexible as needed.

Pay Rate: $15.25/hr.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Opens and closes Golf Shop for daily business, as scheduled.
• Greets all customers as they enter the Golf Shop.
• Checks in all players.
• Assigns tee times and announces groups to tees in accordance with policy and procedure.
• Operates daily point of sale system in accordance with procedures.
• Sells and processes all merchandise transfers.
• Assists with all merchandising and displays.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the Golf Shop including picking up, dusting, and cleaning.
• Directs all issues, problems, complaints, and safety matters, which cannot be resolved to the Head Starter.
• Initiates and completes reports for any incident/accident that occurs during work shift.
• Prepares all closing paperwork including but not limited to bank deposits, end of shift reports, and point of sale reports required to complete all sales transactions for that day’s business.
• In emergencies, places 911 calls.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• MUST know the game of golf
• Prior experience using computers and cash register systems.
• Prior experience handling money.
• Any combination of experience, education, and/or training which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Good customer service skills.
• Knowledge of the game of golf.
• Ability to work independently.
