Maintenance Mechanic - Golf Course Equipment - Full Time

Department: Golf

GOLF EQUIPMENT Maintenance Mechanic

Hourly rate: DOE

Schedule: 4am-12:30pm; Monday-Friday

Job Summary: Performs work of considerable difficulty in repairing, maintaining, and rebuilding automotive, grounds, and golf course equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs all procedures involved in maintaining reels.
  • Troubleshoots and overhauls light trucks, lawn care equipment, small engines, and when necessary, heavy-duty equipment.
  • Repairs engines, transmissions, clutches, driving axles, suspension systems, brakes, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
  • May order parts and supplies required for assigned tasks.
  • Performs normal daily clean up of work area.
  • Performs all work in accordance with safety standards.
  • Participate in mandatory safety training and prioritize safety throughout the workday.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a golf equipment mechanic.
  • Ability to furnish a basic set of mechanic tools.
  • Possess and maintain a valid State of Arizona Driver’s License.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge in reel grinding and reel maintenance.
  • Considerable knowledge of the methods, practices, materials, and tools used in automotive and mechanical repair.
  • Good knowledge of the operating principles of internal combustion engines.
  • Knowledge of welding.
  • Skill in locating and adjusting operating problems in motorized equipment.
  • Skill in the use and care of tools and equipment used in the trade.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform heavy manual labor in rather inaccessible areas.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
