IT Support Specialist - Full Time - West Valley

Department: Information Technology

IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

This is NOT a contract position.

Salary: DOE

Job Summary

Provide a point of contact for end-user support issues throughout the organization. Coordinate support and issue resolution tasks with associated software vendors and contracted support representatives. Complete maintenance on a regular basis to keep applications and systems running effectively. Complete training sessions with end users to increase the computer and application skills of RCSC employees.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Active Directory user administration for moves, additions and changes.
  • Installs, Configures, Troubleshoots and Supports software applications (including but not limited to: MS Office 365, TotaleGolf, Adobe, etc.)
  • Installs, Configures and Troubleshoots laptops, desktops, printers, POS printers, monitors and other computer hardware.
  • Resolves end-user issues and responds to inquiries in person (at one of RCSC facilities), via email or by telephone.
  • Installs, Configures and Troubleshoots remote access to all RCSC desktops and laptops.
  • Research and documents end user support issues and share documentation to IT team via Sharepoint.
  • Develops hardware and software documentation for IT team and end-users.
  • Installs network cabling as directed or required.
  • After hours scheduling as required for installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in mandatory safety training and prioritize safety throughout the workday.
  • On call duties as assigned.
  • Perform other tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution in the computer technology field

OR

  • Any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position preferred.
  • CompTIA IT Fundamentals+, A+ or Network+ certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting and maintaining a variety of software applications and platforms in a corporate environment.
  • Experience using MS Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
  • 1-2 years’ experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, configuring computer software and hardware preferred.
  • Possession of and ability to maintain a valid state of Arizona driver’s license.

Work Conditions

  • This position is going to be On-call that may require it to be On-site if the issue cannot be fixed remotely.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools and to manage other computer components.
  • Ascend/descend ladders and/or access limited crawl space areas.
  • Stooping, bending, and kneeling to accomplish equipment installation projects.
