Golf Course Driving Range Attendant

Location: Lakes East/West Golf Course, Sun City

Days/Hours: Thurs.-Sat.and ever other Sunday; 1pm-6pm (or when the last cart is serviced)

NOTE: You MUST be available to fill in other days/shifts as needed.

Job Summary: Performs the day-to-day duties and functions as assigned by the Golf Pro Shop Head Starter. Responsible for picking up golf balls on the driving range. Inspects related equipment and is responsible for daily operation of range picking equipment. Responsible for the inspection cleanliness and appearance of rental cart fleet. Checks batteries bi-weekly.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs day to day inspection of all equipment for operational performance, cleanliness and appearance
• Checks all batteries on rental cart fleet bi-weekly
• Reports any safety and/or repair issues noted immediately to Head Starter or in his/her absence to the Pro Shop Manager
• Removes from use and Red Tags vehicles/equipment requiring repair
• Responsible for daily operation of range picking equipment
• Picks balls from driving range daily
• Cleans balls and restocks ball machine daily
• Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of all related equipment within the cart barn at assigned location
• Participate in mandatory safety training and prioritize safety throughout the workday.
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Any combination of experience, education, and training which demonstrates ability to perform the duties of the position

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of golf and related areas
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and to ask for assistance for anything in excess of that weight

Working Conditions

• Involves moderate exposure to elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises
• Requires physical activity including squatting, bending, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling, carrying items and some vigorous physical activities
• Involves exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions

Pay: $14.70/hr
